FAQ

What's the first lesson like?

The first lesson is where we get to meet each other! Don't worry about preparing anything; I'll assess where you're at and we'll have a conversation about your goals and how to get you there!

If you've taken lessons before with other teachers, bring the most recent books or material you studied.

Do I have to practice?

The age old question! I always tell students that whatever they put into their studies is what they get out! I know how tough it can be to study for a long time; I used to practice 6 hours a day! Whatever your goal is, I can help you learn how to make the most with whatever time you have!

What if I have to miss a lesson?

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy; if you need to cancel due to sickness or unexpected events (i.e. funerals, car trouble, family emergencies) let me know 24 hours in advance and I'm happy to reschedule a lesson at no charge. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or don't show up, I cannot make up the lesson to you.

My child is interested in piano lessons; what's your age minimum?

Start 'em off early! I like to make sure that students can sit still and pay attention (relatively) for 30 minutes before they take lessons so they get the most out of our time together.
